James Arnold was born 1873 in Downham Market, Norfolk. He was the last child of Walter Arnold and Mary Ann Arnold (nee Eastell).
On 3rd April 1881 the Census was held. James Arnold was living in Bridge Street, Downham Market, Norfolk, with his parents Walter Arnold and Mary Ann Arnold (nee Eastell) and his siblings, Mary Ann Arnold and William Arnold. Also living with them was a lodger called Richard Edwards.
On 5th April 1891 the Census was held. James Arnold was living in Bexwell Road, Downham Market, Norfolk, with Ann Farrow an Independent Lady and her daughter Constance Farrow.
On 14th March 1895 James Arnold married Agnes Lavinia Pratt at St Edmund Church, Downham Market, Norfolk. They would go onto have two children, Gladys A. Arnold born 1896 and Dorothy M. Arnold born 1898.
On 31st March 1901 the Census was held. James Arnold was living at 14 New Bond Street, Spalding, Lincolnshire. He was living with his wife Agnes Lavinia Arnold (nee Pratt), their children Gladys Arnold and Dorothy Arnold and they had a boarder living with them called James Inglton. James Arnold was working as a House Painter.
On 2nd April 1911 the Census was held. James Arnold was living at 187 Willingham Street, Grimsby, Lincolnshire with his wife Agnes Lavinia Arnold (nee Pratt) and their daughters Gladys Arnold and Dorothy Arnold. James Arnold was working as a House Painter.
In 1951 James Arnold died in Grimsby, Lincolnshire.
