Florence Cissie Arnold was born at Feltwell, Norfolk in 1894. She was the third child of James William Arnold and Sarah Arnold (nee Norton).

She was living with her Grand Parents James Arnold and Eliza Ann Arnold (nee Oldby) and her Uncles Walter Arnold, Charles Arnold and Ernest Winter Arnold and her Aunties Bessie Arnold and Annie Delese Arnold.
On 2nd April 1911 the Census was held. Florence Cissie Arnold was living at 50 Melford Terrace, Thetford, Norfolk. She was working as a Nursemaid for a Mr. William Hall, who worked as a Monumental Mason.
