On 2nd April 1871 the Census was held. James Arnold was living at West End, Feltwell, Norfolk. He was living with his wife Eliza Ann Arnold (nee Oldby) and their children, Susan Arnold, William Arnold and Elizabeth Arnold. He was working as a Blacksmith.
On 3rd April 1881 the Census was held. James Arnold was living in The Beck, Feltwell, Norfolk, which could be now 5 The Beck, Feltwell, Suffolk. He was living with his wife Eliza Ann Arnold (nee Oldby) and their children, James W. Arnold (who might be William Arnold), Elizabeth Arnold, Walter Arnold and Mary Arnold. He was working as a Shoeing Smith.
