Walter Arnold 1830 - 1898

Walter Arnold was born 1830 in Hockwold cum Wilton, Norfolk. He was the eldest child of William Arnold and Elizabeth Arnold (nee Hotson).

On 18th April 1830 Walter Arnold was baptised at St Peter Church, Hockwold cum Wilton, Norfolk.

On 6th June 1841 the Census was held. Walter Arnold was living in Hockwold cum Wilton, Norfolk, with his parents William Arnold and Elizabeth Arnold (nee Hotson) and his siblings, Sarah Ann Arnold and Elizabeth Arnold.

On 30th March 1851 the Census was held. Walter Arnold was living in Denver Road, Downham Market, Norfolk, with his parents William Arnold and Elizabeth Arnold (nee Hotson) and his siblings Sarah Ann Arnold, Elizabeth Arnold and Anna Elizabeth Arnold. Walter was working as a Carpenter.

In 1853 Walter Arnold married Mary Ann Eastell. They would go onto have at least eight children; George Arnold born 1852, Mary Ann Arnold born 1853, Elizabeth Arnold 1856, Thomas Arnold born 1858, William Arnold 1860, Walter Arnold born 1864, Alice Arnold born 1866 and James Arnold born 1873.

On 7th April 1861 the Census was held. Walter Arnold was living in Parsonage Lane, Downham Market, Norfolk. He was living with his wife Mary Ann Arnold (nee Eastell) and their children, George Arnold, Mary Ann Arnold, Elizabeth Arnold, Thomas Arnold and William Arnold. Walter was working as a Carpenter.

On 2nd April 1871 the Census was held. Walter Arnold was living in Denver Road, Downham Market, Norfolk. He was living with his wife Mary Ann Arnold (nee Eastell) and their children, George Arnold, Mary Ann Arnold, Elizabeth Arnold, Thomas Arnold, William Arnold, Walter Arnold and Alice Arnold. Walter was working as a Carpenter.

On 3rd April 1881 the Census was held. Walter Arnold was living in Bridge Street, Downham Market, Norfolk, with his wife Mary Ann Arnold (nee Eastell) and their children, Mary Ann Arnold, William Arnold and James Arnold. He also had a lodger staying with them, Robert Edwards, who was a Widower aged 84 and worked as a Cooper. Walter was working as a General Dealer.

On 5th April 1891 the Census was held. Walter Arnold was living in Bridge Street, Downham Market, Norfolk, with his wife Mary Ann Arnold (nee Eastell) and their daughter Mary Ann Arnold. They also had with them their Grandchildren; George Arnold, Walter Arnold and Violet Arnold. Walter was working as a Pork Butcher and Grocer.

In 1898 Walter Arnold died.
